Elementary Music teacher for Barnes Elementary school, resident artist for the Texas Tease Yacht Charter Full Moon Cruises, the former vocalist for the Dallas Observer's nominated "Best Funk/R&B Group" and D Magazine's 2017 "Band of the Year" internationally praised Dallas-based jazz/soul/hip-hop group, "RC & The Gritz", and the former keyboardist for one of Dallas’s newest & hottest dance band "Motion". Her most recent international performances included "The Blue Note" in Tokyo, Japan and Bermuda with The Capital Jazz Super Cruise.

Singer/Musician Claudia Melton is riding on the crest of her new debut single, 3 Words, with producer Aaron Hardin. Its release exclusively speaks to the global appeal of Claudia’s sultry, soulful singing style.

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas to a family of vital influencers of South Texas music, Claudia began playing violin at the age of four, piano at eight, and saxophone at 11. Heavily influenced by jazz, her father, Claude Melton, was a former President of the Texas Jazz Festival. Claudia perfected her interests and musical talents with advanced Jazz Studies at the University of North Texas, one of the nation’s finest comprehensive music schools, where she earned a B.M.J.S. degree in Vocal Performance.

Claudia has sung alongside and opened for a plethora of talented artists, including Grammy Award-winner Norah Jones, Robert Glasper, Common, Boyz II Men, Erykah Badu, Eric Roberson, Emily King, Dave Hollister, RL of Next, Anthony David, N’Dambi, Case, Choklate, Wayna, Carl Thomas, Rahsaan Patterson, Liv Warfield, Lyfe Jennings and more.


In addition to her widely respected career as an vocal talent, Claudia is a music educator. In 2008, Claudia was selected by the International House of Blues Foundation (IHOBF) as a master teacher and narrator to implement the Blues School House curriculum for 5th-12th grade students in Dallas public schools. She was a private voice and piano instructor and member of the Voice Faculty at one of the nation's top high schools for performing arts, Booker T. Washington HSPVA in Dallas, TX. 


She plans to continue her successful journey of the arts by the releasing of her upcoming debut album "A Land Called Love" which tells stories of her past and current love experiences. The release will be available through online music retailers
